 Sylexis
Limited is managed by Dr Gillian Pritchard, an experienced pharmaceutical physician
with expertise in early and late phase product development in Europe and the US,
to ICH-GCP standards, across several therapeutic areas, e.g. clinical pharmacology,
diabetes & cardiovascular medicine.
Prior
to establishing Sylexis, Gillian was Medical Director of a pharmaceutical and
medical devices consultancy. Some of the projects that Gillian worked on in this
role included: - Market assessments for a
biomedical research park, a drug discovery facility and several new medical treatments.
- Development
planning for new medical treatments.
- Developing
and delivering an ICH-GCP training course.
- Providing
training in pharmaceutical development.
- Developing
in-house SOPs and document templates.
- Conducting
a literature review to support CE marking of a medical device.
Some
of Gillian’s previous roles include:
- Associate Director in Clinical Development of a global
pharmaceutical company. This position involved the design, planning and conduct
of an international phase III programme in type 2 diabetes to evaluate a hypoglycaemic
agent administered by a medical device.
- Deputy
Medical Director at a phase I clinical research unit.
- Honorary
clinician at the Hypertension Clinic and Diabetes Centre of a teaching hospital.
Gillian
is a Member of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine (MFPM) and a Member of the
Royal College of Physicians in the UK (MRCP). She has been awarded an MBA from
the University of Dundee and a Master of Science (Clinical Pharmacology) from
the University of Aberdeen. Gillian is also a
member of BioDundee
and of the European
Medical Writers Association. |
